It's all about showing up.

Do you realize that the most difficult part of any task is showing up to take on the task?

Going to the gym is often a daunting task for me because I have to get out of bed and get there.

I've heard the excuse from many people in their music that they simply don't have the time, or they don't have the energy to practice.

Like I've said in the past, Self Awareness is a Powerful Thing!

Do you want to make music or not? Do you want to be an incredible performer or not?

I promise you that if you set aside daily time to bring yourself to sit down at the piano, put the guitar on your lap, or start doing your vocal solfege exercises, MUSIC. WILL. HAPPEN.

My current regimen revolves around production and recording. I've got a massive project that I'm working on. I'm discouraged to work on it some days and other days I'm hyper motivated. The days I fail to show up, I'm quickly reminded how my deadline is approaching. The days I do show up, I feel a sense of satisfaction because I know the project is moving forward. NOTE: Some days I'll work on it for an hour and get 3 measures done, and other days I'll work on it for an hour and get 6 pages done.

Whether it be 3 measures or 6 pages, I'm still moving forward!

My rehearsal tip for you today is: SHOW UP!

I'm excited to hear how it goes!  Let me know in the comments section!

Until next time,

-T.
